FYI, when you do turn 25 you should get a decrease in your auto insurance.

I got a $70 auto insurance refund check. This was 6 months of insurance.

The policy is comprehensive with collison. This is in the state of New Jersey.

Note I have a spotless driving record no tickets whatsoever. Plus I drive an early 90s v6 Camry. Thats probably going to double when I get a new car in the next year or so.

It will probably be more if you are married.

Well I did pay like 1200-something. Don't remmeber the previous 6 month's dollar amount. Now it should be a little less than $1100.

Meh. I've gotten rebates from State Farm before. State Farm is a Mutual insurance company so if claims are down during a period, the increased revenue is distributed amongst the policy holders.

EDIT: $1200/half?! Sh!t, I can insure a Turbo Porsche for less than that and I'm only 23!

Really? Didn't know that... The date of the check being cut coincided with the date of my birthday.

$1200 something for the full year...

Correction... That $70 was pro-rated for the 6 months that I already paid for.

I got a change in policy mail-in today and it shows an updated premium. The next 6 month period shows a reduction of about $120. So for a full year I am paying around $240 less. Woohoo...

I'm expecting a reduction in my premium when I move in a month.

Right now I'm in one of the close in burbs to the city (Detroit). I'm moving to a more outlying burb.

Paying $4K/yr. for 4 cars.

I am 24 and paid $1200 last year for a year of insurance through AAA. I drive an 04 V6 Accord.

I recently moved to West Sacramento.. overall it's kind of a "rough and tumble" city but I live in a good area. However the entire city shares the same zip code.. so when AAA pulls me up on their computer I live right in the middle of the hood. My insurance shot up to $1800.
