GF is looking for help understanding Electrophilic Addition Reactions with Benzene rings.

For Example :

Ar-Tert-Butyl reacted with H2SO4 and heat.

She is looking for the steps to find the major product and the structure.

Any help explaining would be most appreciated.

I've forgotten my O-Chem stuff, but Chemistry Corner is a community run by a professor to help students around the world with chem related questions. He's fast in responding and very detailed in his answers. Check out his message board in the future as you might not get a better response here. :)

IIRC from ochem a few months ago, I think h2so4 and heat is a hydrogenation reaction to add an alcohol
