This time is my turn. :|:disgust:

A side from two broken front windows, a CD player, a sub-woofer and a basketball are also stolen from my vehicle. The thieves have spared the quarters I keep in the change bin.

Why do they want a 3 year old plain vanilla CD player and a $14 dollar Rawlings bball is beyond me. And I haven't used the sub for 4 month+ (it hurts my ears) so I don't think I am drawing any unwanted attention.

It pisses me off whenever I hear about or see ppl's car get broken into... there's no respect for each other's property anymore...

I had my car broken into about 6 years ago, man does that suck. They only broke out my small rear window, didn't get the stereo out, and left in a hurry. I got a free screwdriver out of it. (minus the $200 for the window)

Same thing happened to me twice in three months, but fortunately they didn't break out my windows. Jimmied the locks though... I've lost two subs and two CD players. After the second break-in, I had an alarm installed. It is loud enough to wake up the neighbors and *hopefully* me, so hopefully it'll scare the punks away.

My recommendation is after the insurance takes care of the damage, replace your CD player with one that has a detachable face. I'm particularly fond of the Pioneer DEH-P4400. You should be able to pick it up at a discount as it is being phased out for a new model. It looks like the bastards left your wiring harnesses, so that is a plus. They didn't really know what they were doing in leaving that harness for your sub. Picking up specialty harnesses like that for your sub can be difficult, so they probably won't be able to pawn it for much.

Was your sub made by Bazooka? That harness looks like the one I used for my second sub.

They were probably trying to "pop" the window out intact to minimize the amount of noise. When they broke the window, they took off for fear of attracting attention.

Last week as I was walking through my apt complex on my way to work I got harrassed by a cop. Apparently they've had a series of break-ins, & he found my walking around at 5:30 AM with a black hat on to be suspicious. Called my driver's license number in & everything.

Oh well, I guess it's a good thing they're watching.

I don't mean to hijack the thread - but does anyone find the fact that Viper GTS had to show his ID (and I'm assuming a "reason" for his WALKING DOWN THE F'N STREET) disturbing?

Sounds alot like..."show me your papers" :| I swear if a cop ever stopped me while walking he better have a damned good reason to ask for my ID!

I just think that the scum who broke my '93 T/As window, tore off the rear view mirror and got 2 CDs, a radar detector and a pair of Rx sunglases for thier trouble are now in prison and being "used" every night and also sold by their cell mate Bubba. Makes me smile to think so.

Turns out I am not the only one got hit. I saw 2 other cars at my apartment complex that suffer the same fate as my civic. The apartment management said there were a couple break-ins also.

I've already got a check for the claim from insurance. But I will be stuck at home until 2maro when the window repair-man comes. It's snowing!

As for the low-lifes, they can rot in hell.


And yeah, that was a 10" powered bazooka.
