YACellT Moving to Irvine

I currently have cingular up at Berkeley paying month to month so cancelling is no problem.

1) I was wondering what carrier would be good to have in Irvine (fewer dropped calls/benefits)?

2) Also is there any benefit/downfall from buying a plan/phone from amazon?

Cingular and Tmobile, while generally regarded as asstastic, work well in Irvine. Verizon as well.

Don't know anything about amazon plans.

I don't have national roaming, granted I'm staying in California but when I took a business trip to Washington DC, Cingular charged me up the yin yang. I'm just tired of Cingular's customer service (I had a phone that was non-functional due to a known problem with the phone and Cingular would not help me out with a replacement or upgrade). They also have a tendency to overcharge or double charge.
