I just got a letter from the mail from BofA telling me I'm prequalified for a BofA Visa Platinum, and I'm really tempted to get one. There's one thing that bothers me though, and that's the minumum finance charge. It says "$1.50 -- (unless purchase Average Daily Balance is zero)" I'm not sure what this means, but I assume that I am obligated to make a purchase every month.
There's no annual fee, and the APR is 9.9%, lower than my current 14% CCs. I would like to get this card because of the higher credit line (more than 1k). My cards tend to get close to max every couple of months, especially when paying for books. I pay all my bills on time, and out of my own pocket. My other cards are an MBNA Visa (1k limit) and the Amex ($500 limit)
I'm 19, a college student, and just got a FICO score of 590 a couple weeks back. Should I just wait it out until I get a better offer?
