looking to getting a basic American Express card for use at Costco. What are the differences between regular credit cards and Blue? I looked on the amex website, but the descriptions all sort of melt into each other. Some sort of cash rewards program would be preferable, but I'd just settle for a card with no annual fee and "pay over time."

Also, I'm looking to get a better visa/mastercard for general use. My current and only credit card right now is a BankOne Free Cash Rewards program Visa. It has a $3000 limit. What are some good options? This one gives me $25 for every $2500 spent within a 2 year period.

Blue Cash has warranty extension, return protection, and 1.5-3% cash back. No more Best Value Guarantee, unfortunately. :(

so Blue just gives those few benefits, and the basic green amex is just a plain jane CC?

Dunno. Blue Cash is clear and looks cool though. :D I'd never seen anyone comment on a credit card until I got this one, people comment on it all the time.
