YACaT (Yet Another Car Audio Thread)

Bought my 06 4Runner with the base 6-speaker factory system. The upgrade package was $800 and featured paper-cone speakers (and a 45W subwoofer) so I figured for that kind of money I could assemble a better-sounding aftermarket system. It's time to start coming up with a gameplan.

Currently, the fronts are paper 6x9 with separate tweeters while the rears are 6 1/2" full-range.

Even after auditioning aftermarket speakers in various shops, it's hard to guess what they'll actually sound like in the enclosed space of the vehicle. So I'm seeking opinions.

Right now, I'm considering the following:

- Fronts: Alpine SPR-17LS components, Rears: Alpine SPR-17LP coax
- Fronts: JL XR650-CSi components, Rears: JL XR650-CXi coax
- Fronts: Infinity 6010cs components, Rears: Infinity Reference 6012Si coax

I also found a good deal on Infinity Kappa 60.7cs components but wasn't able to listen to them. The catch is they're 2-ohm speakers which might cause problems with some amps or head units?

Any opinions?
