Just happened about 20-30 mins ago. I was gonna turn left and was stopped, the lady was trying to stop and there was ice so she coouldn't and she hit me from the back. I'm ok (for now) and she's ok for now also.

I got her car make and model, color, year, name, plate number, and phone number.

I checked really quick and didn't see anything wrong, but when I pulled into another parking lot nearby, I checked the back (she was gone by now) and my back bumper's paint is cracked and it's out of alignment. I just talked to my dad. He said I should call her and tell her what happened so as not to make it seem like I rammed my car somewhere else. Anything else I should've gotten from her (insurance comp name, etc...) or anything I should do now?

Took pics when i got home also. I'll post them up in a bit.

**UPDATE**
Pics are up:
Back Side
Driver Side
Passenger Side

Paint chip on the back, and the rust is not part of the accident. I called her and she said filed a claim and gave me her agent's name. I called but got message only so I'll call tomorrow during business hours. The quote I got from an auto body was for $949.44 for everthing. Another body shop said that with Farmer's Insurance, they probably will just have their adjusters come out and look at it themselves and write me a check. Anything else I should do now besides contact the agent tomorrow?

**UPDATE 2**
So my back is really hurting now. Do I go ahead and go to the chiropracter and get it checked out? What if I don't have health insurance and I can't afford it? How does that work with the insurance? Would they need proff of the bill and then pay it off or what? I don't want to go and have to pay a huge bill and then have the insurance company screw me over. Do I tell the insurance agent that my back is hurting? I'm also afraid if I do tell him that, then he might give me advice that is more on his terms than mine. Any help again would be greatly appreciated.

I didn't really make a big deal out of it because we were both alright. My main concern was for her and me and I just got general information from her. This will be a learning experience for next time (hopefully there won't be a next time).

you should have gotten her license plate number, drivers license info, insurance company & policy number. take photos immediately. call your insurance company, there will be no rate increase because you are not at fault.

Ok, I called her and she gave me her insurance company and policy number. I gave her mine also. I said that I'd get a quote for her on how much it would be to fix the bumper as soon as possible. She said she was expecting my call and was cooperative about it. Anything else I need to do now?

At least she's cooperative - sometimes you need a police report to set things straight, but if she's in agreement with everything that happened, then you should be good to go even without the cops. I'd call them for all future accidents though...

That thing looks like it was ready to fall off by itself lol. Check with your insurance company to make sure whether you should file a police report. Sometimes that's a good idea to do. This is pretty minor though.

Your back is hurting from that little bump? Were you, by any chance, shoveling snow since the accident?

Ya know, I WAS shoveling snow. I was waiting for it to go away anyway. I probably won't end up going to the doc for my back, seeing as how it just feels sore.
