YACAT : Speaker box suggestions

I've currently got 98 Grand Marquis and I'm looking to put in two subs. The trunk in this car is slightly different from my Accord's trunk. Here are some pics of the trunk

As you can see, the trunk is not very long but it is deep. I was thinking I could probably get single boxes and mount them on the sides since it does have that "shelf" area.

Does anyone have any other suggestions as to what I can use?

How does this box look?

TIA!

That box is pretty cosmeticly, but most likely crap harmonicly. Build you're own box to specific dimensions of your trunk to get the most out of your sub and trunk space. It's not that big a deal if you just want a sealed enclosure, just take a tape measure or something and give the numbers to someone at an Office Depot or something to cut the wood for you, then just glue the box together for a fraction of the cost of a box on ebay. Research the recommended air space for your sub before so you know what kind of room to give it, but bigger is usually better.

I agree on the air space, check the manu's recommendations. also, you could build a ported box and have a small box in their. either way it is up to you.

Would a ported box be better in my case then? As for building it myself, I don't have the tools currently (living in an apartment) or the know how 😱
Any suggestions on a particular premade box that would fit my needs? 🙂

Thanks for the information btw 🙂
