YACAT: Piecing together my system, need idiot check

I decided I'm going to buy my new system from Crutchfield, but I'd like opinions on my selections. I wanted an mp3-capable system with speakers that will deliver crisp clear sound. I do not need overpowering bass, nor do I need a sub. I also do not want to add any amps, batteries, or alternators. Value is a plus. Here is what I've chosen, (speakers apparently had a very select few that would fit my 1996 civic sedan):

Kenwood KFC-1668S for the front doors.

Blaupunkt MP3000 receiver.

Kenwood eXcelon KFC-XR901 for the rears.

1. Will all of this fit correctly into my car, without modding anything?
2. How does the power situation work out, receiver puts out 23 watts RMS x 4, front puts out 2-35 RMS, rears put out 2-65 RMS. Will everything just plug in and perform decently without an amp?
3. Does anyone know of better alternatives, or has anyone purchased a system for a civic from Crutchfield? Any other advice on what to buy?
4. Anyone know of a good place in Hawaii I can get this installed. I'd rather have a professional installation rather than let my friends fool around in my car.

Any help would be appreciated!

crutchfield is a rip off. you can buy them locally for less. but seeing you're in HI, you're situation may be different.

install them yourself, it's almost as easy as putting in oil and spark plugs. i did all that stuff myself, why pay extra (that's my opinion - and crutchfield comes with instructions and phone support)?

ps, blaupunk mp3 player is nice.

Eh, things like this in Hawaii, are not only marked up for being in Hawaii, they're marked up for the marked up shipping prices too 😛 The prices are probably comparable to a retail shop here, but crutchfield has a wider selection. I suck at cars, I don't do anything myself, except fill gas, check fluids and tires. Do y ou know of a better online retailer than crutchfield, or rather, do you know if what I picked will even work correctly heh. thanks for your help though.

My compliments on making the effort to piece together a system before you come here asking for advice. 😛

Don't know much about those components, all I'll say is that however many watts RMS your speakers are rated to handle, make sure your receiver (or amp) is rated at that or above.

ebay.com. Scratch the Blaupunkt or whatever brand that is. Something Alpine will definately rock your socks.

i've heard good things aout both. blaupunkt is supposed to be better than alpine, no? I've also heard to stay away from JVC and Jensen, as far as receivers go.
