YACAT - Amp question

I just got (2) 12" 1200 watt max Sony subs, what would you guys recommend for a amp, size wise.

Thanks in advance!

im gunna go out on a limb and say those sony's wont handle the power they say they can 😉

but if you want a decent amp.

i have a 1100 watt @ 1 ohm tsunami amp.

however, you would have to figure out what voice coil config you have on those subs so you could take advantage of 1 ohm.

i would reccomend
JBL bp1200.1
new phoenix gold amps (1200 watts @ 1-4 ohms)
directed audio
viper (more expensive directed audio amps)

If you can run them at 2 ohm I would go with a JBL bp1200.1. If you need 1 ohm I would go with a Hifonics Brutus BX1000D, or a bx1500d if you plan on upgrading your subs later on. I think a bx1500d is a good choice if you don't wont to limit you options with subs, it puts out 1500w at 1 ohm and can also put out 1000w at 2 ohm.
