so it's painfully honest that he's not interested anymore. do i just ignore him if/when he contacts me?
i am still interested, but trying to forget about him. if i stay in touch it just stirs up my old feelings.

Ok, seriously. You need to keep busy until the worst of it passes. I've been through it, and there isn't much you can do except work through it.

Personally I wouldn't stay in touch for at least a couple months. That's the hardest time...
