...augusten burroughs, dan kennedy, david foster wallace...

any suggestions based on those authors? also enjoy bill bryson, glen david gold, michael chabon, to give an idea of the stuff i like to read. would like to explore lesser-known authors in that genre.

i caught the beginning of it, but i had to leave just after he read his first piece. i'm also really conflicted about getting his new book immediately, as i have a huge backlog of other stuff i've already bought but haven't had time to read yet.

fantasy 🙂

The last non-SF/fantasy/mystery book I read was "The Blue Flower" by Penelope Fitzgerald, which was a good historical novel.

funny you should mention chuck palahniuk....
on a whim, i was talking about the movie fight club with a friend, and so i decided to read the book. After that, i read Survivor and i just finished Lullaby. I want to read Choke, but it's all checked out at the library. The upside is that all this reading is reawakening my love of books.
