YABT: Need pedals and shoes for my lemond tourmalet

I'm looking to spend about $200 for both the shoes and pedals, can anyone recomend me some nice ones that fit the budget? This is my bike

Also, what are the really hot pedals? If I had unlimited funds, what would I be looking at?

I personally really like the Shimano SPD-SL design the best of the major pedal systems, and the Ultegra-level pedals are a great deal. Shimano is pretty effective at price-fixing, but you can get them deeply discounted, brand-new, on eBay. As for shoes, I like Sidis best, but YMMV. I don't see any real reason to get the ultra-exotic models - I still use a pair of Genius 3s I bought about 5 years ago.

Total Cycling is a great place to order shoes and pedals, even if it isn't quite as good a deal as it was when the dollar was strong.
