Fausto, your confusion comes from that bike really not being a hybrid, but instead really a flat-handlebar road bike. Notice the head-tube angle and the rear triangle's angles. Same as all Trek/LeMond/Klein/et al road bikes......the true hybrids are much slacker in the rear triangle and head tube.

This would be more a LeMond Hybrid, albeit with STI shifters.

Trek's top line hybrid....again, slack rear triangle and head tube angle.

Trek 2300, much like the LeMond frame.....although this Trek is alu and the LeMond appears to be either steel or Ti. Same geometry and angles.

Actually, it's more closely related to a cyclocross bike if you really want to get nitpicky. Note the canti brakes and large tire clearance at fork. 😀

I have a hybrid that is more closely aligned to the roadbike end of the spectrum. Its fast and gets me to work faster than my car does.
