Hm... it seems like a species of the Greater Shell Beetle, Hemoraphealia gnostalia. It's pretty rare, so make sure not to squash it!

OK smartass I have been looking for Hemoraphealia gnostalia on the web and I have yet to find anything with that name related to bugs.

Now I found THIS BUG in the yard and I know what it is. Yes this is a test, why dont YOU tell me what it is and the sex?

And for those wondering about the bug's welfare, it is dead.

I am experimenting with my new camera Canon Rebel XT.

Some stuff about hemofilia but that's about it. The first I read your initial answer I kind of chukled but then I felt bad about killing such a rare insect. That was funny.
