I'm finally starting to make some headway with this Bowling thing.

I've only been working at it for a few months, and it's been a struggle to say the least.

Last night was one of the first times I've actually scored a game. I bowled a 182! It really felt earned, and not just luck.

I'm starting to realize that my Track Hexplosion just doesn't have enough hook for me. I can work with it, but I want more hook.

So I've ordered the Columbia Scout Reactive. It will be here next week. I can't wait.

BOWLING, FTW!

Bad move.

But what do you mean by not enough hook? How much are you looking for? My guess is you are rolling the ball through the oil and letting it slide instead of going more "up and in."

It's been 5 months, officially. I've been using a ball with very little hook potential. It will become my spare ball.

Well, I can always back out of the Scout-R. It's been ordered by the ProShop but I'm not locked-in to the purchase.

What's your problem with the Scout Reactive?

These days I bowl with from the 15 - 18 board and aim for the 8 - 10 arrow. If I do this correctly I can land flush. It's a fairly straight shot, with only a little hook.
