I know in a round that you're supposed to get 40 command points to get a command badge, but I've gotten 62 points before and I haven't gotten the badge yet... is my account screwed up? and are command points the same as if you were to go out and get points for kills

I'm pretty confused about the whole deal on command points...

 
You need to have 40 command points before the doubler if you win.

I can't remember exactly how they calculate command points, but I believe it's something to the effect of the average of how well your team actually does. Your personal kills won't help you gain more command points.
