YABBT: Center Field *POLL*

If you had to make a team which center fielder, still in the game today, would you pick.

Im willing to bet it is between Edmonds, and Jones.

This is defense only, because obviously Jones is in his prime offensively.

It's hard to vote for Edmonds after the year he had, but he is still good. I voted for Jones.

Beltran is another good CF that can put up offensive nnumbers.

Andruw Jones. Something about Edmonds I just dont like at all. I think Beltran is great defensively as well but my vote goes to Andruw.

Didn't we have one of these threads not that long ago...Jim Edmonds is an average defensive center fielder now...even in his prime the only thing he had going for him is that he has always been able to get a great jump on the ball....he has below average speed, an accurate but average arm, and he'll catch anything withing diving distance...which he often needs since he's not that fast...

Jones is one of the top defensive CF's of all time, period. No comparison whatsoever.
