only in big city. been using VZ dsl for $30 a month for almost a year. sometimes it's down during thunderstorms otherwise it's been great (NYC). i got the free linksys wireless-B modem (it was 1.5/384), then got the free modem/wireless router (it's not as good as the linksys btw) and upgraded speed (3/768) early this year, with a one-year contract, at $30

oh well i figured in a year or so FIOS would be cheaper and faster!

What is FIOS? It sucks that they don't advertise this. I did some research on my own after the OP and found it IS nationwide.

FIOS is going to be faster.....15MBps/2mbps UP its gonna be ridiculous!

My friend is on 15/2 fios right now here in Texas. Its crazy fast. It will be in my area in about another 1-2 weeks and I will be going over to it myself from this POS always having problems Comcast cable. Bah!
