Ok guys, its about 2-3 hours from quitting time and I plan on stopping by the store and grabbing some beers. Vote for which beer I need to pick up!

If that is your best selection, go to the liquor store and pick up a bottle of Ciroc. Serve over ice, no mixer.

That is my choice of expensive beer for the summer (Coors Light is my ol' stand-by). In the winter I love the Sam Adams Winter Ale.

Sol is my favorite mexican beer. It is like all of the others but less skunky...

Wheat beers were traditionally servered with citrus to mask off flavors when the chemistry wasnt well known. No need for them now, in fact, they now mask GOOD flavors. Loose the lemon, drink the beer.

It never lets me down. I can drink Coors Light all night and feel 100% the next day. It seems that my body has gotten adjusted to it, like water :p

That's another good beer! Prefer to drink it in the winter though.

"Skunky" is an off aroma which is the result of being light struck. All beers with aromatic hops are susceptible to this when stored improperly for even a short amout of time. If you ever receive a "skunky" beer send it back (Grolsch, heineken, etc VERY susceptible due to the green glass). When they tell you its supposed to smell like that, tell them they are full of shite!

I've always heard the lemon was originally added to reduce the level of foamy head from wheats?

I agree though, normally I don't drink wheats with lemon (or oranges..yikes), but like I said on a HOT day, I like the lemon as it kills some of that yeasty flavor and turns it into a more refreshing drink.

Hoegaarden is really really really good.
I've heard some really good things about Anchor Steam, but I haven't had it before.

I vote Hoegaarden.

Yes, it can because of the oil. Good point. Thats why i included "traditionally." Also, only certain wheats are stylistically high in effervescence (Belgian Wits being one of them ;) ).

As a refresher, enjoy the lemon in your wheats. Nothing wrong with that at all. This makes me wonder what a few oz. of lemonade in a Hoegaarden would taste like.

I see modular beat me to the Bass and Guiness suggestion =) although I would certainly go with Harp (also not on the list).

I generally like Sam Adams, but I have never had their summer brew so I would try that.
