Wheat beers were traditionally servered with citrus to mask off flavors when the chemistry wasnt well known. No need for them now, in fact, they now mask GOOD flavors. Loose the lemon, drink the beer.

I agree though, normally I don't drink wheats with lemon (or oranges..yikes), but like I said on a HOT day, I like the lemon as it kills some of that yeasty flavor and turns it into a more refreshing drink.
