Yeah i saw that video in turbomachinery class. (prof was away)
It's the new GE engine.
i forget the benifits...i think they can run with just two engines on board :p

What do you mean? They put a new engine on a test aircraft to test it's real-world performance.

But at full thrust wouldn't the left side severely out-power the right, thereby causing some rotation?

unless they ran the far right left engine at low throttle to try and balance it. though is that even possible? :confused:

No..
same thrust on each wing.

they can compensate by not running the 4th turbojet on the same side.

Turbojet engines are designed to run at one speed...anyhting else is highly inefficient.

there would obviously be a balance.

Test rigs usually will run the test engine with much less than full tank anyways.
