YAAT - Atkins Question

Aimster

Lifer
I just bought myself a bunch of steak, pepperoni, cheese, sausages, and chicken. So let me get this straight I can eat as much of this stuff as I want? I went to the store and I got pretty much anything that said 0 carbs. Hotdogs have very few Carbs, but I am not allowed to eat them.... so I'm lost here.

umm...get the book.

Think of the Atkins Nutritional Approach as a vegetarian diet (minus potatoes...for the most part) with meat added.

It's not the meat and cheese diet.

And, not getting *any* carbs is bad. Read the book or the website and you'll see you start off at 20g of net carbs/week and then work your way up to 100g of net carbs.

See you in the hospital Aimster. Why bother with any diet if you are not willing to change your whole diet and exercise routine to maintain whatever you lose? And if you are willing to make the change why not just start off that way instead of trying a diet so radically different from what you normally eat which can make you very sick?

Well the thing is I am on a hardcore work-out routine. I need 220grams of protein a day to meet my needs. I do have like 20g of carbs a day (seasoning on my steak, cheese has a lil, dressing for my chicken.. etc). I never ate any vegetables nor any fruits just my vitamins.

Do the proper research, or don't even bother trying. So far, you are not doing a whole lot right and you are destined for failure.
