YA(We never landed on the moon)T

Again not saying the moon launch was faked, but it would have been easy to do so.

I think you're kidding yourself. It would have taken an extraordinary effort, probably more complex that the actual moon effort to pull it off.

I bet we really landed on Mars and NASA just used black and white video to save money.

Nah, if it was Mars the aliens would had been seen giving surprise butt sex to the astronauts.

The Onion strikes again!

seems like journalists in Bangladesh are easily duped

Unfortunately, a significant portion of the US population is easily duped as well. These conspiracy nuts have succeeded in convincing quite a few people. Ditto the 9/11 conspiracy nuts. It's rather sad & symptomatic of poor education.

Not that much radiation. 🙂
Shielding. 🙂
Limited exposure time. 🙂

Enough radiation for this
FAA advisory.
It essentially grounds pregnant flight personnel. Personnel inside an aluminum craft.

It'd be awesome if the moderators would ban those people for being trolls, else ban them to make the average level of intelligence on these forums surge higher.
Ha, the average intelligence of the forums has been declining for years. Look at all the idiots that referenced the Mythbusters episode as "proof" of no hoax.

FYI, I am not trolling. I think its a fair question, the Sun puts out a huge amount of energy. Most of it deflected or absorbed by the magnetic fields and atmosphere of the Earth. How could a few millimeters of aluminum (if that) protect the astronauts? Nothing wrong with a little skepticism.

🙂

Gauss' law? Faraday's Cage? Come on. People think of radiation as some sort of arrow flying at you and you need some thick shield to protect you. It's not about that. It's EMI. Ever look at EMI shielding? Even something braided could do the trick. I'm no EMI expert, but sometimes throwing a piece of metal over your source or protecting something can do the trick. It's not the same as protecting yourself from arrows being shot at you.

I believe 100% that we landed on the moon but the only thing that makes me wonder is the whole stars thing. shouldn't we be able to see the starts in the pics?

I tried to argue this with my friend in 8th grade. He wouldn't buy the whole talk about exposure and shutter speed and cameras. Then again I don't think I was that great at explaining such a concept at that age. I wonder if I go explain it to him now about how camera exposures work if he'll accept this. Shrug.
