Was playing around with a firewire card in my HTPC, when I plugged in a device the computer immediatly powered off (not shut down, just lost power). Tried turning it back on, and it beeps..... No video, doesn't boot. Opened up the computer noticed the firewire card came loose, the idiot in me didn't screw it in.

So should I troubleshoot or just buy a new mobo?

How would you troubleshoot this anyways>?

If a card is only partway in, the mobo won't do anything. Pull the card out, and test it, to see if you get the same result. I'd go ahead and pull all unnecessary cards as well (sound card, etc). From there, you start pulling everything out, one thing at a time, and test.
