Hey, just replaced my old 965P-DS3 with this P35-DS3L.
Using the latest SpeedFan (with the new corrected 15°C offset),
my temps are:
For Core 0 and 3 - 38° idle / 60° load.
For Core 1 and 2 - 43° idle / 70° load.
Can someone help me with my hugely differing temperature cores?

Last thing; I'm eventually going to switch over to a Q9450 (good idea?)

Also: my 12v rails are off. (6 for +12v and -17 for -12v). Bad reading/just a fluke?

That usually happens with an IHS that isn't flat, assuming you applied the TIM correctly. Try reseating the heatsink first, and see if the temps stay the same. If they do, you just have a warped IHS.

Hmmm.. that's true.. I didn't want to have to lap the IHS, but I guess I'll have to live with it :

I'm pretty sure the voltage readings are fluked, because mine don't read anywhere near correctly either, at least with speedfan. However, in the BIOS it's been reporting correct 12v and mem voltage, and cpu-z seems to correctly report my cpu voltage after vdroop.

With a 5C difference, looks like your IHS is the culprit.
