YA psychological question:

With current technology, could you ever see yourself supplanting realife material wealth with that of a virtual variety? If so, how far would you be willign to go?

If not now, what requisites that you could possibly demand of a virtual world would "do it" for you?

for example, having a real-life beater, but being content with havign a virtual ferrari.

what would be the requisites of the virtual ferrari for you to stop dreamign of really owning on.

supplanting aspirations via virtual stuff is what I'm gettign at

Hmmm... well the virtual world/objects would have to be very realistic for me to not care about having it in real life. As in, I strap on goggles or whatever and feel like I'm driving down the street in my Ferrari.
