What does SP3 fix that would actually make a difference to the average user?

I believe what was in the service pack 1 and 2 is also included, I could be wrong...it has all hotfixes (patches) thats out so far for win2k I believe. Someone mentioned that theres a new feature in it where your system sends information to MS. I forget what.

from what I heard, there's not much new stuff. Mostly a compilation of previous patches. I'm gonna reformat soon and I'll be trying it out. I'll let you know what I find out.

I have it, took my 3 shots to download (on dialup).

And they were full shots, just errors (corrupt).

But anyway, it runs like a dream, I installed w2ksp3 over win98, I hate the instability of win98se.

So yeah, it works really well, and YES, it includes the previous hotpacks.

Another happy SP3 customer. Been running it for about 4 days with no problems so far. Waiting at least another week before I deploy it agency-wide, though.
