J. J. Abraham has an habit of leaving viewers with questions unanswered. After fvckin over the viewers in Alias, I am never watching another show he is involved in.

Alias was a great show the first two 1/2 season, then it went to crap. I thought the ending was terrible. Extremely dissapointed with how that show ended up, and Lost is setting up to be the same.

Yup. I watched that show till the end hoping that a miracle would happen and he will find a logical explanation for all the crap thats been going on. Nope. Nothing. I see Lost to be destined the same way...

Nah, I still like LOST. "Sometimes the questions are more complicated than answers".

I liked the first season pretty well, but the show really started dragging for me in the second season, and now I just find it confusing. I have watched all the episodes so far this season and like them better than S2, but the show remains SO confusing that I have begun to question whether I'm just wasting my time.

I think the show has to move slowly. If they reveal too much about the truth about the island, it won't be that much of a mystery anymore. Instead they make the story deep and complex, so they can introduce a lot of new things without revealing too much of the fundamental truth about the island.

I think it works very well and it's my favorite show.

I don't think most people would mind then not answering the questions if they didn't keep adding new ones every damn week.

And as for taking the mystery out of the island, WTF was that "invisible force" that they would randomly see and even tried to pull Locke down a hole? It almost seems that they were just trying differnt things out, everyone thought that was gay, so they just dumped it without ever bothering to explain what it was.

That, and the 20 minutes of LOST / 40 minutes of commercials every episode doesn't really help things too much, if you ask me.

Dont forget to subtract another 7 minutes for the "lets review" part at the start of every episode ([announcer voice] last time on Lost...[/announcer voice]).

I stopped watching about 3/4 through season 2. Plot just keeps spiraling deeper and deeper without and resolution...getting old

I never watched Alias on a regular basis, a show here or there (I never found the lead character all that terribly good looking - not bad, but not all that). But, these responses intrigue me: How did it end and what did you not like about it.

Remember, I was not a regular viewer, so try to explain things with that in mind.

BTW, I love Lost, but the recent slow pace and too many commercials are getting old. I use a PVR, but it still is a pain. I have not watched the last episode yet.

If you remember, Mr. Ecko confronted it, and it backed down. It hasn't been seen since then. That was the best scene in the whole series so far.

Same here. If Alias ended without explaining everything, then I'm really afraid they'll do the same thing here. That would not be cool. I was able to not watch it last week (I DVR'd it), and I'll continue to not watch if they don't start giving me something.

I don't even remember the exact way Alias ended because it just bored me. There was nothing revealing about Rimbaldi or anything like that. Just some BS about how Sloan had figured out the final Rimbaldi clue and I think it would give him eternal life or some crap, but he died anyway. Like I said, I don't really remember because it really didn't make alot of sense, it was boring, and was obviously just thrown together for a series finale without a whole alot fo thought. Definitely not worth even watching if you were lucky enough to miss it.

Rimbaldi? Sloan? Remember, I only saw a couple episodes over the entire run of the show.

LOL, some people were complaining that HEROES was slow.
I pointed out that LOST was much slower and thats why I stopped watching that show.
Seems that alot of people agree.

So far HEROES has much better pacing.

I am crazy busy with work right now, so I have three episodes saved up. By the time I get to watch Lost again, I may have five saved up. If after watching five in a row (i.e. not having to wait a week for some answers), I am still getting that sinking feeling that the writers are playing games, I may stop watching. We shall see.

why does everyone complain about the commercials in Lost???!?! it has the same amount of commercials as any other network show. ABC just chooses to air commercials of short duration very frequently. any "hour-long" show is 42 +/- 1 minutes long.

I think JJ Abrams needs to stop making TV shows. His first season is always good. After that he just sucks. It's such a let down.

They really should only let him do 3 episodes. The first one will be awesome and develop all the characters. The second one will kill all the characters that you actually like. The third one will be there just to waste your time....

I still love lost. Haters need to STFU. The shows are the exact same length as others, so all the commercial whiners can go away too.

I just don't understand why 'The Others' (scary) are the way they are. I don't get it. Maybe it's something that the leader said last night to Jack but I mean, if he WANTS Jack to help him why not just be nice to begin with?

I guess the show would suck then right?

I don't hate it. I'm simply disapointed. I used to love that show.

How many seasons did it take for them to explain where the Polar Bear came from? How many unanswered questions are there?

It's going to be another X-files and Alias where none of the questions are answered.

Apparently they already have the whole show mapped out, so there shouldnt be a fear that questions wil go unanswered.
