You stupid sons of bitches:| I spoke with a CSR two days ago to have a package worth $500 re-routed back to me because the receiver wasnt going to be there (out of town for holiday) to sign for it. I was told..."Sure, not a problem, its taken care of...blah, blah, blah"

What do you jackass morons do? Deliver it anyway to an apartment complex when the guy isnt even going to be back unitl Jan 23rd!!:|:|

If anyone reading this lives in or near Ithaca, please PM me.

It's amost impossible to re-route once it's picked up..

Blame the receiver for not being there..
or
Blame the sender, for sending a package to a empty house.

Because I wasnt notified the guy wasnt going to be there until AFTER I sent the package.

Sent the package on the 15th. Guy notified me the following day he was leaving the 19th.

Why would FedEx tell me re-routing wasnt an issue and tell me it was done:confused:

If it's on a truck going from point A to point B...and theres no stops inbetween. A CSR is not always totally aware of the stop points or how easy/difficult it is to do such a thing.

It happens.

There were stops in Grove City on the 19th, and Syracuse on the 20th

I guess its time for a claim filing. It even says signed for by the guy. How could that have happened? Oh, let me guess, FedEx grabbed the first available body within eyesight:roll:

When was the actual delivery date and time?
And what is the guy's handle here at Anandtech?

Maybe he actually waited until the package arrived before he "truly" left?

I had the exact same problem not 7 days ago. I was the receiver however, I called to see if I could get the pckage shipped to my parents home instead of my place near university. They said sure no problem, you'll have it in a few days. 7 days go by, I call and they say they never change adresses and they have to ship it back to BC to get the sender to change the address. Needless to say I was pissed. I expressed my pissed offness though and they sent it to me at home no questions.

I've rerouted FedEx packages before, a buddy's MP3 player that I got as a gift for him from NewEgg went bad, and I realized after NewEgg had shipped the RMA out that I wouldn't be home to recieve it........and wouldn't be home for another 30 days after that. Sent NewEgg an email, told them what was up, package arrived at my buddy's front door (and he lives about 40 miles away).
Aw crap, I got sent here from another thread and just noticed it was old.

Well you should have sent it signature required. However, if they have signed a waiver then they authorized FedEx to just dump it there, which is probably what happened and why it says he signed for it.

So technically he's released the liability and it's all on him.

I did send it sig required, and there wasnt a waiver on file with FedEx for that customer.

Plain and simple...FedEx are d1cks

Well,...
Luckily, we were able to retrieve the package; package now safe and sound! ;)
I, personally would not want my package sitting out in the inclement weather for 3-4 weeks!

Did you miss the part where the CSR said "sure, no problem... it's taken care of"???

FedEx picked up my laptop to return to HP Service & Repair. I hope I'm here to pick it up. FedEx was pretty cool about the pick up. He showed up 6 hours late but just gave me a reciept and left.
