This is a superb way of having your brand name build in Japan....

:Q
Suzuki has assumed responsibility for import and distribution of Chevrolet products in Japan. In fact, we showed two new GM Daewoo produced cars, the Epica and the Optra, at the Tokyo Motor Show that will be marketed in Japan as Chevrolets

And

Fuji Heavy Industries is beginning to distribute Saab products in Japan, and equally important, is assisting in the development of the Saab 9-2X, a turbo-charged sports sedan that will come to the U.S. market next year.

These two announcements came from GM's CEO himself....
And personally I think that this dude should really get a clue....
What a stupid idea...

Also, whats up with the second message...
Subaru will be assisting in development?
Freaken no....
They will actually make one for GM, since they have no idea on how to make deacent small/midsize sedans....(Pontiac Sunfire/ Chevy Cavalier)

Not exactly new.... Here we get Opels as Chevrolets 😉

However, I think taking a Daewoo and placing a Chevrolet badge is not the same than applying the same badge to an Opel car.

No it is not...
As a matter of fact I think they should just kill the entire Saturn line and start importing/producing Opels.
Then they could start marketing them as an inexpensive, but "German" quality cars...
No one gives a sh!t
I have noticed...
I was hoping for some nice car discussion, but apparently I am not NFS4......🙁

I think people saw "Japan" in the title and thought it was irrelevant. Having driven the new Malibu and the Vectra (in which the new malibu is based) I just can say: Why did they change it?

Oh well.....

Here's something to discuss, the Cavalier is sold as a Toyota in Japan.

It's called the Toyota Cavalier.

Yeah, but just look at the number of sales it generates.....

The ONLY ones really worth rebadging are the Opels....
