A pretty new Chrysler Town and Country minivan merged on the highway behind me this morning. I noticed that when it's left turn signal was on the left headlight was off. When the turnsignal went off both headlights were on (as daytime running lights).

Is this something normal or was something wrong with this car? I've never noticed that before.

If they were DRLs then that is normal. You will notice that GMC Jimmys do that as well. It's for better visability of the turn signal.

all new DCX stuff does that .. not sure about other brands but i've noticed every new Chrysler from a 300C to a van, with the DRL off during signal.
