my dell worked fine until i upgraded it because the crappy x300 it came with wouldnt run half life 2 on medium settings

since i upgraded it i have had nothing but problems with it

it currently wont even load into PCI-e properly

the tech support is about as helpful as any local 3rd grader would be having never once issued a lasting solution for a problem

hell one of their employees told me that putting in a more tha 350Watt PSU would overload the computer i wonder if he even knows what a watt is?

the reason i got this piece of sh17 was because my parents "wanted me to have a warrenty" which does me a whole lot of good since they'll never send anyone out to enforce it....free $$ for them i guess....

the first graphic upgrade i tried was a x600 XT from sapphire which was completly and utterly incompatible with my computer even though it was PCI express like my MoBo slot

now they're telling me my card that has run mostly fine for the past several months is incompatible(then how the ****** does it work for 7 months and just go poof incompatible)(is there a magical dell incompatibility fairy that waves a wand and makes every non-completly-overpriced-dell-licensed upgrade magically incompattible after a set time period?))

i've already steared every1 that i know away from the h3ll infested sh1th0le that is dell and after the non-stop problems this crap has given me i hopr u realize u should too......

on second thought they may not be bad..... if u never plan to upgrade ur PC but i dunno any1 who does such a thing maybe some1 whos rich enough to go buy a brand new PC every year or so or maybe a mac user they dont seem to like upgrades.....

another thing i noticed is that they sell mac edition graphics cards....AGP X800 XT for 350$ w00t theres a ****** bargain but seriously y are they selling Macintosh graphics cards?

it seems all of my dell brand pieces are total crap
......except the RAM i bet thats waiting another month or 2 to ****** out on me

both of my DVD drives work fine but they were made buy NEC and Sony and resold thru dell

also after trying to get a helpful solution out of one tec rep for literally an hour she just disconnected herself from me continuing awesome Customer service

im pretty sure if i space a customer who gave my store 1,500$ id get fired(not like india doesnt have 1.2 billion replacements ready)
[ /angry tired rant ]

Edit: guess not...BTW i also had to get a new mouse because the $5 dell optical mouse had tracking problems which just makes me love my RAZER copperhead even more

Edit 2: RAM is from Hundai not dell so its proably good

[ //angry tired rant ]
:Cliffs:::::

Dell sucks
Dell tech support sucks worse
I hate Dell u should too
now adding friends dont let friends buy Dell to my sig(half in tribute to the ATer who has a similar Sig regarding Intel)

Join the vast club of growing members dissatisfied with Dell's products.

Myself included. D600 is slowly dying, but I do LOVE my 2005FPW.

I don't have any complaints... my old dell still runs well (although I no longer use the original hard drive because 20GB is obsolete now...), I mean sure, it uses RDRAM and an AGP slot, but I had no problems upgrading the graphics card.

I would not recommend purchasing a Dell if you know anyone who can help you build a computer. Even with a modest fee, it will be cheaper and better. For families that don't know any better, Dell is a fine solution.

my friend paid a local Pc company 50$ to put together his PC which was 10% if his total cost and hist runs pretty damn smooth cept its a budget system so hes using my old x300 but he doesnt play games

he told me one of his classmates ordered the 300$ dell system bout a year ago and it couldt run Sims2 right out of the box....

Only thing I would possibly be interested in from Dell is their 30 inch LCD monitor. I'd rather pay the extra $300 to get one locally from the apple store. I've concerned about dead pixels, whether it has them fresh out of the box or developing over time, but man that screen looked beautiful. Pity that the Apple wouldn't match my case color (black) like the Dell, but oh well.

You probably didn't install the proper drivers, install the drivers correctly or use driver cleaner on the old ones. I'm about to buy a Dell notebook, take that~ =p

$300 extra just to have the Apple logo? Come on, you can do better than that

Just to let you know, I haven't a single dead pixel on my Dell LCDs.

how so?

I agree, upgrading from x300 to x600 is barely upgrading at all. At least get the x800, more bang for your buck

my card is currently a x800 GTO although its running x800 XT BIOS and Speeds

um, the 2007fp is worth ~350-400 by itself.

Another likely cause for your problem. And you (you, not "u") blame Dell...
