currently encoding on a barton running at 2.4ghz, it used to pull 55fps on the first pass and 40 on the second, however now its only doing 40fps on the first pass and 27ish on the second. all of this is with all the default settings aside from changing the bitrate.

i'm using gordian knot and whatever comes packaged with the latest Kazaa Lite codec pack.

is there anyway to optimize the speed at which its encoding aside from lowering the xvid settings? whats a normal encoding speed for this kind of processor?
