Just bought an ATI 2600xt Gigabyte passively cooled vid card. When I first installed it, it was crashing my system, Vista Home Premium 64bit. Thought it was my power supply so I bought a Corsair VX500W. (No regrets there)
Put in the new PSU, and still the same problem, artifacts and eventual crash. Installed 3 different versions of Catalyst drivers, after removing previous drivers, and the most stable was the drivers supplied on the cd that came with the card. The drivers work perfectly with my on board xt1200.
Athalon 3800x2
6gb ram
Asus M2A-VM mb.
WD 320gb YS HDD.
good cooling
Any other thoughts, or should I RMA this to Newegg? Downloading memtest as we speak to test my ram, however I don't think my ram is the problem.
