XSPC Rasa 750 RS360 kit

I am considering picking up one of these kits for my main desktop PC, to help quiet it down a bit (and maybe gain some lower temps in the process). Right now I am running a core i7 860 at stock (but I do have a stable overclocking profile at 3.8ish but I turned it back to stock recently to do a reinstall of windows). The case is a Antec 900-Two, and the heatsink I am using now is a Megahalems (the black version) with two 120mm fans in a push pull setup.

Anyone have any experience with these kits, or the RS240 version?

I use an XSPC Rasa in my rig now and I also have an RX240 in the loop. The block itself is awesome - no frills, top-notch performance. My CPU doesn't crack 65C in LinPack @ 4.11GHz. I can't comment on the performance of the RS240 exclusively, but it seems to be a good performer and should be able to handle an overclocked i7-860 easily - http://www.coolingtechnique.com/martinsliquidlab/XSPC-RS240-Radiator-Review.html . That said, I think an RS360 would have no problem at all, even with some insane clocks (4.2GHz+).

I don't think you'll be disappointed and for the price you can't go wrong :thumbsup:.

I'm looking at this picture and it looks like you could mount a 2x140mm rad right in there. I don't know of any kits that have one by default, but you could always just part out a DIY kit just as easily.

I hope it works well, I know absolutely nothing about watercooling and have reading your sticky, and mulling it over for a while now (Plus Don66 on here has been telling me for years to go water cooled).

thats how XSPC and Swiftech are going with there all in 1 kits now.

They need the spice over corsairs H7O, while not losing the fundamental term moding!



warning.. water gets addictive.. especially with gpu and board blocks..
More doesnt become a luxury, it becomes a necessity.

Well, the kit showed up yesterday and everything in it seemed easy enough to install and seemed well made. I got the loop in my case and is leak testing right now, had it going all night and so far nothing, but I am going to let it run for the rest of the day while I am at work just to make sure.

My Antec 902 isn't ideal for the setup for sure, and I had to mount the radiator outside on the back, but I think I got it managed well enough for that case. Once I get my components put in the case, I will post some pics of this kit. Seems very well made for the money though.

Well, this kit blows the megahalem mega shadow I had before right out of the water (pun intended).

I did some load and idle testing with the mega shadow and with this kit (after I had it running for a few hours with the computer on), and there is a huge difference. I did have the same overclock before and after, my i7 860 at 3665Mhz -

It was kind of a pain getting everything in my Antec 900-Two case like I said before, but hopefully I didn't do anything too wrong with the setup considering my case -

I only put two fans on the radiator for two reasons - I get good flow out of the back of the case fan where the center of the radiator is mounted, and because I ran out of screws (the kit had all of them, I used some of them for something else).

So far so good though, this kit is very nice in my opinion.

You mean the room temperature? It was about 70F or so, right around there. I had the door off of the side of the case, but I don't know how much that would skew the results, since the radiator is external anyways.

Excellent performance and it looks great, adairusmc. Now you just need to crank the clocks some more :awe:. The only thing I would recommend trying is to make a duct from the exhaust fan directly to the radiator to get as much air as possible through the fins. Great job :thumbsup:

I am probably going to add the 3rd fan at least when I get some more bolts, to get more air over the radiator.

Right now I am stability testing it at 4Ghz, and it is looking good so far. Going to go for a 4.2Ghz once I get 4Ghz stable though, see if my chip can do it at least :awe:

Yup, room temperature is about 21C for me. Here is a comparison perhaps even though is different platform. My Custom loop:

That looks pretty good for that 9650.

I worked mine up to 4.1Ghz and (so far) stable. Temps are higher of course, as I did have to bump the voltage quite a bit to get that 860 up that high. So far so good though, about 5 hours into prime95 small FFT's right now.

But then you shouldn't be worried, since gaming and most other applications won't tax that much on the cpu. Also noticed that your voltage need quite a bump to reach 4.1ghz and have fun with the WC kit going to last you for a while.

I might keep it down at 4Ghz with lower voltage, but it tested stable at 4.1. I did 18 hours of prime 95, and when that was done I did 100 passes in Linx and got no errors. Not sure if I want to keep it up there though, but pretty much anything I do on the machine wont tax it that much for sure.

Sweet - but a BIG difference in cost. I'm thinking of picking up a Rasa RS360 Kit, but the old skool H2O cooling chap inside me wishes I had twice the money to spend.

I just bought an i7 970 and classified board. Need to keep it cool. Is it difficult to install? Also can I install the radiator inside the case. I have a thermaltake armour series. Was wonderif if it could be installed in the front. Thanks for any help.

I used to have a Thermaltake armor case, and I do not think you could put the reservoir on the front, but you could always look at modding it there. I dont think the reservoir would fit in there though, due to the drive cages

You could potentially put it on the top of the case if there is room, but you might have to look at the RS240 kit to fit the reservoir up there.

The instructions with this kit are kind of lacking, but I did not think it was difficult at all to install myself. It took me a while, just because I wanted to make sure I had everything installed the way I wanted it and the hoses to be the correct lengths.

I am not sure if it will not fit or wont fit, but if your armor case is anything like the version I had, that might be a problem getting the radiator inside the case. The 240 kit would cool better than an H70 for sure, and the radiator would be the length of 2 120mm fans, the 360 kit is the length of 3 120mm fans. That is not to say the H70 will not cool the i7 970, I am sure it would do a fine job.

Thanks for your feedback is there anything else that I would need other than the kit? Is the CPU block good for an i7? Did u get the 360 for u? Where did you put the radiator?
