I was wondering if anyone here as bought this case . As my daughter is thinking about using them as her high end gaming PC. She approached me about it . All I could do is read and view pics about it . But from what I read its perfect for her needs . The question I have is this.
Whats the build quality like. As she buys 10 cases at a time and these are $500 cases. Its a little expensive just to buy one to find out that build quality sucks.

Anyone?

First you say "using them as her high end gaming PC" mixed plurality there.. but whatever. Then you say "she buys 10 cases at a time", are you trying to tell me that she has 10 gaming PCs at any one moment?

Also note that it says "first shipment and extreme low quantities" I'd bet you there are less than 10 available at all. This is a new case design from XSPC, so it's unlikely more than a few people on the planet ponied up for one so far.

The case is supplied unassembled, and a 1-2hr per case assembly estimate. Also the front bay covers are not included, $6 a piece for those and 8 bays. So as to build quality, there's likely to be zero rivets and all the edges had better be clean.

I am thinking that his Daughter is a bit of an entrepreneur and she is building gaming machines to sell. Or its a scam an my machine has now been compromised by going to this site.

As for the case itself. I if your worried about quantities and quality. MonsterMod makes very similar cases, might be worth taking a look at. Though $500 either way seems like waaaay to much money to spend on even the highest end for resale computers. Seems like it would limit her resale market tremendously since it would up the cost of the computer even on the highest end by ~25%, the styling might also restrict the market of users where at that cost will be more picky about the look.

Performance-PCS is a well known reseller for modders. An entrepreneur looking to sell PCs wouldn't go near that case, period. It's an extreme specialty item and as such will sell in very low quantity.

Too many thumb screws

Looks like Hellraiser :D with $500.00, there are many more options. I would look into a Mountain MOD case.

first off the only reason why one would look at a case of this type is because your heavily watercooling.

Now if your going to tell me your daughter is gonna build 10 massive watercooled machines.. id like to see that...

Infact your daughter will be digging her own grave, as 1 machine alone is not an easy task, and i see no point in getting 10 cases from start.

As for quality, i bet XSPC's quality is better then the new Mountain Mods.
Im sorry, but im very disappointed at the quality mountain mods are now compared to my original mountain mods.

Its like almost comparing night vs day.

The XSPC cases look solid and nice... in fact i would probably even want to pick one up if i needed a case of that size.

Your PC was NOT compromised from going to that site . Give it a rest.

Yes my daighter sells gaming PC . This case which is huge is cheap. Inso far As our own cases are way more expensive and being such a small seller but the margimes are hugh.

As for $500 dollar cases . She bought 10 lianLi $500 for high end gaming pc used with AIR only and only has 2 cases left . She wants to sell more watercooling parts though . So she asked me about it . I said that it would be nice case if quality is good . Yes it is a large case . I got the ans. I was looking for at another forum .

rule of thumb..

everyone i know whose sold a high tier water machine to a customer, and the customer did not know how to maintain it, only resulted in the seller getting massive massive emails from the buyer asking simple questions which could be solved by going to google.

Now if your daughter wants to sell a prebuild heavily lc'd machine.. i also recomend ur daughter to have a full time tech support line, because it will get spam'd heavily.

This is why u always tell people to learn b4 u change mediums, and u dont spoon feed them unless your prepared to hand wipe them after they been fed.

Really burying herself . You should see her cry when she has to reorder our own custom cases made about 1 mile from my door. $750 and thats befor anodised we don't put a sealer on after anodizing as it next goes to paint shop from paint, it goes to the Airbrush studio. Which was in St Paul but now they do to florida. YOu can't even look at one unless you make $150,000. and can prove it. When I die however you guys here well all get to see mine. Even tho at present its beinging modded to except the Koolance dual bay res. and pump ass.

Have your daughter read my last comment...

Its a warning to her... from people i know who were out there b4 she was.

And trust me... they dont do it anymore, unless the buyer can prove he has some knowledge in how to maintain a LC system.

Bad Joke sorry. I was more making fun of the almost Nigerian sentence breaks and half stories.

But the point is about value. 1. Everyone knows Lian Li. 2. Their cases are works of Art. 3. People see the cases and fall in love.

That isn't the same with the XSPC or Mountain Mods, or other boutique, highly riveted, nearly hand built case. $500 dollars is a lot to spend on one component of a computer and I think that its compounded by choosing one that looks like its built in a garage. Look at the HAF X. $200 gaming case, that isn't garish, well built, and has almost every real feature people want. Still many people write the series off because its so industrial looking. I think you will find that most people that like industrial cases will like/love the elegant cases as well. People who like elegant almost never want to settle for the industrial/stronger look. If she has orders and it fits in with her margin that it looks like a great case if they have enough stock. Just saying that it might not be the best choice to take a niche and hard to find market and make it smaller.
