There will be a tang on the float that the needle valve bears against. When the float rises as fuel enters the bowl, the needle rises with it and seals off the flow of fuel at the seat. Be sure to replace both those parts, both the needle and the seat.I ordered the rebuild kit and my float doesnt appear to have any gas in it
In my experience, rebuild kits are rarely needed. In the case of this bike, I think a good disassembly and cleaning would fix your problem. It's more than likely running lean because jets and passageways are gummed up.I just picked up another little bike today, a Kawasaki KLX 110. It runs but the choke needs to be on, maybe I will just order a rebuild kit for this as well
