Dell XPS 13 9305
i5-1135G7
8GB Ram
256GB NVME SSD
AX Wifi
16x9 1080p screen
Just got it in yesterday, and I am very impressed. This is my first XPS laptop, and I can see the appeal. This 9305 XPS is Dell's more entry-level priced XPS. It has the 16x9 screen, which is why it is cheaper... but I like the smaller footprint of it as a result. For $800 (or less with a good deal), this is worth it. The KEYBOARD! Amazing. The glass trackpad is great. No deck flex at all when typing, using trackpad, etc thanks for the aluminum body. This unit has the black carbon fiber palmrest. It is super comfortable to use. Also there aren't any sharp corners that can dig into your wrist - at least when you are sitting at the appropriate height. The screen is a dream to use - makes working in VSCode and editing photos a dream. Nice and even brightness, great viewing angles, insane brightness when you need it - yeah this thing is great. I haven't really missed the lack of a USB Type-A port because I already have a USB C hub from an old Lenovo I use, so that works. Will use a dock with all my peripherals using it anyway. I like the prospect of using two 40 Gb/s TB4 ports. This means I can use peripherals for my workload and not worry about latency any longer.
Those of you that have an XPS already know the quality you get with this, and now I can see the difference as well. Worth the money - and if you don't care about 16x9 vs 16x10, I say GO FOR IT. Memory isn't upgradeable, so make sure you get what you know you'll need. Either way - this thing rocks!
