xp3000 & p4 3.0

Me and my friend always get in this huge arguement about which of our cpu's is faster. I have an xp 3000 and he has a P4 3.0. Are these cpu's run around the same speeds. And is it true about the whole 3000=3ghz speeds?

his comp owns yours. now if you had an athlon 64, that's different. the xp class was designed to compete wtih intel's cpu's with no dual channel, no hyperthreading, and 533mhz fsb. since they came out with the ugrades sooner then amd can implement the athlon 64, that reallly suxed for amd. now, p4's are comparable to the athlon 64's with the athlon 64's being the better overall performer.

You'd have to clock your XP up quite a bit to match a 3.0 P4.

you'll need to clock ur xp at 2.5ghz to match a P4 3.0ghz.

You need to OCing your XP 3000+ (stock running at 2.1 GHz) to match up the P4 3.0 with HT.
