I have tried to install 3000XP CPU on Abit KD7-Raid. The latest BIOS only supports XP3000 (333FSB).

Is there a way of getting an XP3000 (400 FSB) to work on this board. I bought in error, and can't replace it.

The BIOS on this board can set FSB from 100 to 250 in increments of 1, and has the following ratios. 3:2:1 , 4:2:1 , 5:2:1

Any help is very appreciated, even if it's to say give up it just will never work.

Thanks

Lee

The only way i know of is if the multiplier is unlocked. There is a very, very slim chance it is. You should check, if it is locked, then i dont know what to do. try 333fsb if thats what your board has. at least you will have a barton clocked at 1.73ghz. which would be equal to about a 2400+
