I just upgraded my system with a new board the system is as follows:

xp2500+ @ 3200+ with bus and memory at 400mhz

two 256 mb cruial pc2700 ram chips

asus ASUS A7N8X-e

powercolor 9600 pro

cooler master aero 7 + heatsink fan

I am running at about 41 42 C ide about 46C under load , I ran sandra's burn in 10 times for under load

I had alot of trouble getting the heat sink on , barely fit are these temps ok or should i reset the heat sink?

Also what are good ram setting to use with this board? my cruial ram seems to run at anything

thanks

Try running Prime95's torture test to really stress your CPU. It will also see if your CPU is stable at your O/C speeds.

Your temps look ok though, but use AIDA32 to read the CPU diode temperatures as they are more accurate than the socket temps.

You're already overclocking your RAM, so you may not get a lot more out of it. But lower your timings one by one, by the smallest increment. Your system may or may not handle it, but you never know till you try.

temps are fine, I also recommend prime 95 for 6+ hours.... mine gets warmer after the first hour or so by a degree or two...

Running my 2500 at stock speed with an slk900 and low speed 80mm, my temps are about the same as yours so I'd say you're good.

Ditto...temps look good. I get about the same with my OC'd 2500+ except I max out around 50C. I run a very quiet PC and have all my fans on a controller at low speed.

they are ok. IT depends alot on what your ambient teps are. I keep my room at or under 30C so i expet my temps to barely ever reach 40C.
