ive been doing my homework on this subhect and i got to say it sounds intreging. the specs are realy high tho so it should look sweet...but will this tamper performance?, will the same rig with normal XP run programes faster?

Specs:

CPU: at least 2Ghz
RAM: 256mb
GPU: GeForce 4 or 9600 at least!!

these have not yet been confirmd and are expected to be lower but still...WOW!!

*specs taken from "COMPUTER UPGRADE" magazine, issue 1, May 2005.

I assume your talking about Longhorn as XP SP2 has been out for some time now.

By the time Longhorn comes out (end of 06 if there are no delays) that will be considered a low end machine so the specs really aren't that high.

You can barely play UT2004 with 256 megs of RAM. When Longhorn comes out, Radeon X cards and Geforce 6 cards will be in the hundred dollar range, making the once-great Geforce 4's, like Geforce 2's today.
