XP1700+ shows up as a Duron??

Just installed an Athlon XP1700+ in a ASUS A7V133 1009 BIOS
When you boot the BIOS shows it as XP2000+.
When you go into WIN98SE system properties, General Tab
it shows up as a Duron!!!! I ran WCPUID and it shows the string as a DURON but it has 64k L1 and 256 L2 cache. Also WCPUID shows it as 16xx MHZ.
This is strange. I bought 2 at the same time and the other one I
installed shows up as AthlonXP 1700+ in all areas mentioned before.
I tried the other CPU in this board and it shows as a XP1700+
Any Ideas?????

My XP2500 shows up as a Duron in Futuremark (PCMark and 3DMark) programs too =)

If you know the stepping on your CPU (if you took pictures like I do )... go here to see what it is

Im going to remove it tonight and get the numbers off it. That way I can tell for sure what it is.
