XP1700+ DLTC3 source

Anyone know where I can buy an XP1700+ DLTC3?

I'm looking for the low-Vcore version of the XP1700+.

I have an XP1700+ DUTC ($49 shipped from Gameve), but Vcore requirements are slightly higher than my 2500+ for equal settings, and thus runs a bit hotter. It's still a great value CPU, since it o/cs past 3200+ levels easily - but I'm looking for lower CPU temps.

Thanks for your help!

Yeah those are pretty nice, but the 2500's are also very good and barely any more. But the 1700+ can out preform the 2500 a lot too. And BTW: hows that buffalo working?

Dunkster, if you are currently running 2.2-2.3 ghz is it worth it to spend that money for the extra POSSIBLE 100+ mhz and a few degrees cooler?

Just to give you both sides of it...

Back to the other side 😉 he can recoupe a good percentage of the money by selling his present CPU which he should be able to guarantee 2.2ghz with, and the possible extra increase could be 200mhz=2.5ghz with temp in the same area he has now. We could go round and round with the both sides of it hypothesizing, however, he seems to have already made up his mind he was doing it and just wanted to know where to get one

Bartons are all but guaranteed to hit 2.2 Ghz. So unless you can get an XP1700 to 2.3 or 2.4 Ghz, the Barton will be faster at equal clock speeds because of the increased cache. And where the cache doesn't help, the performance will be the same at equal clock speeds of course. The t-Bred B core typically needs at least a 100 mhz advantage over a Barton core to perform about equally.

Ya, by all means if he wants one, go for it..

But don't get your hopes up with 2.5ghz either.

Yep.

If pop 2.4ghz with a 1700+ then you are going to need a Barton @ 2.3ghz to compare.

2.3ghz on a Barton and 2.4ghz on a 1700+ are both about equal shots.
