XP1500 works on old MSI - yes! Now what?

I have an older MSI Pro2 (KT133 chip) of the 100 FSB variety. XP works.

Question ...I know that the FSB is divided by 3 to get the PCI bus speed. The question is how high can I go till it makes it hard on my peripherals??

I have it at 107 FSB and will try higher. Later will go to a newer board.

Thought this might be good info for some.

Hard to say for sure but most newer componets handle higher PCI mhz ok, also your newer AGP cards handle more mhz better too... But who`s to say to how much...? Cards are spec`d to run at a certain speed but some tolerate better than others...? The chipset of the board is what will suffer the most I would figure...? You might try unlocking the XP and run the multiplier as high as it will go to get the most out of it... 🙂

Running anything out of spec causes more wear and tear than normal...
