XP - Which files in the Windows directory are not needed and can be removed?

I've noticed that the files in the Windows directory on XP take up 1GB of space and that's with the install files not even on that disk. There has got to be a load of files in there that I can remove to save some space.

Any Ideas?

Thanks,

Josh

Leave the files alone. If you need more space then try decreasing the amount of space devoted to system restore and the recycle bin. Also you may consider decreasing the pagefile size to say 512 min and max if you have 512 ram. Windows managing it is a hog as are the previous 2.
