After replacing a 15gig drive for a 60 gig drive XP now ask for a driver for the 60gig Drive.
Even when I cancel it at reboot it ask for it again.
Anyone have a soulution for this .
I thought I would here first before asking MS.
Thanks for any help.
Didn't you get an installation CD with the drive? I know that I did with my last new drive (Seagate) and am "almost" positive I did with previous new drives. Poke around Maxtor's website and see what you can find.
Hard drives don't need drivers....is it external? Try using disk administrator to format the drive and give it a letter. Can you give us the exact message that comes up?
