XP/Vista on different drives..dual boot..wanna dump Vista

I've got XP on C:\ and D:\ is partitioned with my stuff.

On F:\, an old IDE drive, I installed Vista.

I've been doint the 'Choose an earlier version of windows' before the boot screen (I've used Vista for maybe a few hours total), and I'm finally ready to stop.

Can I just unplug F:\ and everything will go back to normal with XP?

I'm just asking to make sure nothing goofy will happen. Anyone know for certain?

Thanks

I think the bootmanager may still list Vista even after it's gone. I had this issue and googled "boot manager" and grabbed some freeware program to delete the listing.

I would do a fresh install of xp only. I just attempted a xp/vista dual boot from a previous vista hp 32 installation, but there are too many issues for me to get it to work correctly on 1 physical drive. I recommend a fresh install.
