Can you have a group account in XP and why do i get a msg when i try to access another xp computer that says i dont have permission to access this computer, contact your network admin.. is xp like 2000 where you have to have a user account set up on the computer you are accessing.. any help would be great or is there something i have to do to set permissions on who can access this computer.. i have file sharing enabled and the drive shared but i dont give people rights to and folder but the shared folder.. why is this ???
 
Yes you can create groups in XP.

Yes XP is like 2k and you have to have an account in both machine with same username and password.
 
Sorry I can't get access to any 2k / XP machines right now. But the way to create groups for XP is the same as 2k.

Go to Administrative Tools -> Computer Management and there should be a users / groups "folder" in that. I'd imagine that you are trying to do it from Control Panel in XP? That's probably not the best way to do it properly.
